The Film

"Wedding Night" is a 7 minute short film written by Charles Breiner and Ben Conner.  Directed by Breiner the film follows a newly married couple (Amy de Jong, and Gerrard Van Halsema) as they spend their wedding night in a bed and breakfast.  There they encounter the owner (Kim McDaniels) who is too excited about love birds under her roof.  Over the course of the evening, the couple reflect on the decision that has changed their lives and look toward the uncertain future.

"Wedding Night" was shot over the course of two days at Calvin College, where a full bedroom set was built from the ground up. Beautifully captured by director of photography Ben Conner in only four shots.  Breiner and Conner collaborate to create a film that is ambitious, thought provoking and uniquely accessible.

"Wedding Night" was executive produced by Daniel Garcia.  Michael Bulthuis served as First Assistant Director.  Kyle Schultze was the first assistant camera operator. Stephanie Jung was producer.  Kyle Kuipers was the sound designer.

The film made it's world premier at the Waterfront Film Festival in June of 2008.
